Introducing: UV Lashes

Retention trouble? Lashes falling out before you get to your special event? Try the ALL NEW UV Lashes from Flawless Lashes & Skincare.

Our system uses a blue light to rapidly cure your lash glue, ensuring a strong bond to lengthen time between fills and keep you always looking your best.

How Does It Work?

UV lash systems use ultraviolet (UV) light to cure or harden a specially formulated adhesive for eyelash extensions. Unlike traditional lash adhesives that rely on air and humidity to dry, UV lash systems involve an innovative photopolymerization process triggered by UV light exposure. Here's how they work:

1. Specialized Adhesive
The adhesive used in UV lash systems contains photoinitiators—compounds that react to UV light.
When exposed to UV light, these photoinitiators initiate a chemical reaction that rapidly cures the adhesive, solidifying the bond between the natural lash and the extension.

2. Application Process
The lash extension is dipped into the UV-reactive adhesive and placed on the natural lash.
Once the extension is properly positioned, a UV curing light is directed at the lash to activate the adhesive.

3. UV Curing Light
A small UV light device, often pen-sized or handheld, is used to emit the UV light required to cure the adhesive.
The curing process is almost instantaneous, typically taking only a few seconds per lash.

4. Benefits
Speed: The curing process is much faster than traditional adhesives, allowing for quicker application and reducing waiting time for the adhesive to set.
Strength: The adhesive forms a strong and durable bond, making the extensions more resistant to humidity, oil, and other environmental factors.
Precision: Since the adhesive only cures when exposed to UV light, there is more control over placement, reducing the chance of premature bonding or drying.

Is It Safe?

Yes, UV lash systems are generally safe when applied by a trained and certified professional who follows proper protocols. The adhesives used in these systems are specifically formulated for use with UV light, and the curing process is quick and controlled. However, like any cosmetic procedure, safety depends on several factors, including proper application techniques, the use of protective eyewear, and adherence to manufacturer guidelines.

For clients with certain sensitivities, medical conditions, or allergies, UV lash systems may not be the best option. That’s why we conduct a thorough consultation before any service to ensure it’s suitable for you. Additionally, the UV light used is targeted and emits minimal exposure, but we always prioritize eye protection for both you and the technician during the process. If you have any specific concerns, we’re happy to discuss them and explore alternatives if needed.
